Neil Francis Tennant, an English musician, singer, songwriter, and music journalist, was born on July 10, 1954.
He co-founded the synthpop group Pet Shop Boys in 1981 with Chris Lowe.
In the middle of the 1980s, he worked as a journalist for Smash Hits and the magazine’s assistant editor.

Soon after Neil was born, the family relocated to a semi-detached home in Greenfield Road, Brunton Park, a relatively affluent neighborhood in Newcastle (opposite the corner of South Bend).
